Courtney Dixon is a director whose work masterfully blends the graphic with the cinematic. She builds mixed-media narratives, often combining original, archival, and stock footage with animation, motion design and VFX. Her edits are bold and punchy, accentuated by immersive sound design, graphic overlays, and unexpected visual metaphors. With a fresh, original voice, Courtney is representative of a new generation of documentary filmmakers who aren’t afraid to break the mold of traditional storytelling.

As the former Head of Video and Original Content for WebMD, Courtney has years of hands-on experience developing and directing healthcare-based stories and media. She has since gone on to collaborate with partners like Mercedes, Dove, and Chick-Fil-A. Her short-form work has premiered at festivals such as SXSW, TIFF, and Tribeca, and won recognition and accolades such as Webbys, Vimeo Staff Picks, and Medical Marketing + Media Awards. Recently she directed a D&AD Pencil winning short for MoonPie documenting the brand’s attempt to advertise to an extraterrestrial audience.
